At Driveshield, all vehicle trackers are supplied as security devices that are professionally installed or activated for use. Due to the nature of these products, we do not accept returns once a device has been installed or activated.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Installed vehicle tracking devices.
  • Activated or registered tracking systems.
  • Products with broken seals or signs of use.

Once a tracker has been fitted to your vehicle or linked to a subscription/monitoring service, it is considered used and non-resalable, and therefore cannot be returned or refunded.

Before Installation

If you have purchased a tracker but have not yet had it installed or activated, you may be eligible for a return. Items must be:

  • Unused and in original packaging.
  • Returned within 14 days of delivery.
  • In a resalable condition.

Please contact our support team before returning any item so we can assist with the process.

Faulty or Damaged Products

In the unlikely event that your device is faulty or arrives damaged, Driveshield will:

  • Repair or replace the product where applicable.
  • Work with the manufacturer under warranty terms.

Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Installation Policy

At Driveshield, we aim to provide a seamless, professional installation service for all vehicle tracking systems. This policy outlines what you can expect before, during, and after your installation.

Booking Your Installation

Once you’ve selected your tracker, our team will arrange a convenient installation date and time. We offer flexible appointments across the UK, including home, workplace, or dealership installations.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle and contact details at the time of booking to ensure a smooth installation process.

Mobile Installation Service

Our fully qualified engineers carry out mobile installations nationwide, ensuring your tracker is fitted safely and discreetly at your chosen location.

  • Installation is completed to manufacturer and industry standards.
  • Most installations are completed within 1–2 hours.
  • We aim to minimise disruption so you can continue your day.

Vehicle Access Requirements

To complete the installation, you must:

  • Ensure the vehicle is accessible at the agreed time and location.
  • Provide keys and any required access (e.g. locked compounds).
  • Confirm the vehicle has sufficient battery power.

Failure to provide access may result in a rescheduling fee.

Installation Standards & Liability

All installations are carried out with care by experienced engineers. Driveshield ensures:

  • Discreet and secure placement of tracking devices.
  • No unnecessary damage to vehicle components.
  • Full testing of the system before completion.

While every precaution is taken, Driveshield is not liable for pre-existing faults or issues unrelated to the installation.

Activation & Demonstration

Once installed, your tracker will be:

  • Fully activated and tested.
  • Connected to any relevant apps or monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrated to ensure you understand how to use it.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they are comfortable with the system before the engineer leaves.

Missed Appointments & Cancellations

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
  • Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a fee.

Post-Installation Support

Driveshield provides ongoing support following installation. If you experience any issues, our team is available to assist with troubleshooting, system queries, or further guidance.
